Hello everyone! We've kick-started the fantastical 50th Anniversary Countdown, where everyday, you can toy around with some cool stuff or even win Doctor Who goodies!
Click Here for the countdown! The portrayer of the twelfth incarnation of the doctor was revealed on a live BBC television event entitled Doctor Who Live! The Next Doctor The show aired on the afternoon of the 5th of August. Sadly, I did however, miss it as I am currently on my holidays. The show announced 55 year old Peter Capaldi as the twelfth doctor. Still not ginger. Capaldi has previously been in the programme itself in the Tennant era. He portrayed the father in 'Fires of Pompeii'. Steven Moffat said that he was "The first choice of a short list". Capaldi looks a promising doctor and the reactions of the audience were good. We wish Peter Capaldi good luck, as does Matt Smith, who said so on the programme himself. Also, Google Maps recently added a Doctor Who related easter egg that allows you to see a panoramic view of the interior of the current TARDIS. To see for yourself, search 'Police Telephone Box' on Google Maps or Click Here!
Good news guys! To say sorry for my time slacking off Who World, we have a new forum dedicated sub site!
Here it is, the Who World Forums, click here! OR click the 'Forum' button. Yes, the old forum has now gone, sorry for any Big news guys, the daleks are making a striking return on our television screens this year when we all settle down on the night of the 23rd of November to watch the special moment! We think David Tennant (10th Doc) may (We think) be returning as the duplicate doctor from the episode 'Journey's End', not as the 10th doctor we all know and love, but we hope this is not true! Billie Piper will also be returning as Rose, as confirmed by the BBC. The zygons, also, will be returning, additionally confirmed by the BBC. John Hurt will make a proper appearance after the dramatic cliffhanger moment in the latest episode. We think he may actually be the 9th doctor. As we have not properly seen the 8th (Paul McGann) regenerate into the 9th (Christopher Eccleston) so maybe Hurt is actually the 9th, not Chris. Or he could possibly be the Valeyard. Anyway, onto the interesting bit, Daleks! Yes, we all love them, admit it! They are back for the 50th, and they are coming with a bang, as you can see by the pictures below. It seems pretty obvious that this has to be the time war. It can't really by the looks of these pictures be anything else. We all hoped the 50th would be a time war story. Well we got our wish. Here's for a time war episode this 23rd November!
There have also been rumours that the 50th is only an hour long. I can confirm this is wrong. This is completely false. "It's a special episode" says Moffat, "I think you could call it movie-length, yeah. I mean, I'm saying this with a slight hint of vagueness because I don't know the finished running time, (Laughs) but it's certainly well over an hour." As he said, well over an hour, and that's not even the finished confirmed length yet. So, we'll really be getting a super long spectacular episode this 23rd November, and I don't think it will be a let-down, especially with Tennant back in business. Another thing, I play Minecraft and have an account! You can usually find me on there by the username of coolalex131. Anyway, back on topic, I think there's another villain. Actually, I'm pretty sure there's another villain they haven't confirmed yet. Don't ask me why, I don't know, it's just my gut instinct. Please comment, share on social networking and Google+ it! Thanks! Also keep an eye on our twitter! Follow us and retweet our tweets! We need some followers aswell, so get retweeting, following and replying! Okay, so we just watched The Name Of The Doctor last night, and I have to say, it wasn't a disappointment like Nightmare In Silver was. Infact, I loved last nights episode, it was fantastic, so many secrets revealed. Including the clara theory nobody had thought of. I have one question though, how come The Great Intelligence died but Clara didn't when stepping into the timeline. That confused me... Also, what a cliffhanger for the 50th, John Hurt as The Doctor. Or maybe the Valeyard? If he is The Doctor, he must be the ninth doctor, making Chris the 10th, David the 11th and Matt the 12th. John Hurt in my opinion is going to make the 3D spectacular even more spectacular than spectacular... If that makes sense... It probably doesn't... Clara to me is the best companion ever! I love the whole Impossible Girl scenario and we can all clearly see she is a fantastic actress. But has anyone noticed that all of her appearances as different Clara's that she has had something to do with roses, lets take a look shall we? So yeah, Oswin had a rose in her hair, victorian Clara worked at The Rose and Crown and in The Bells Of St John the doctor put a vase of white and red thin roses on her bedside table. We already know that Billie Piper will be back for the 50th, but what if these roses were hinting it all along? What if Clara and Rose have something to do with each other? So, the 50th! Zygons are back, the companions are back (Clara and Rose) and the two most fantastic doctors are back (Tennant and Smith) and so is the unknown incarnation of the doctor (Portrayed by John Hurt). We already have a redesign picture of the zygons So, what's in store for the 50th, who knows? I'm hoping for a time war story set in Gallifrey, i've been waiting for that tale for a very. very long time!

Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Music Used:
Another Love - Tom Odell Kalimba - Mr.Scruff Sense - Tom Odell Cameron as Himself Alex as Himself Video Editor - Alex Thanks for watching! Hey guys, its me with some more doctor who news. First off, The Rings Of Akhaten aired on Saturday and I thought it was pretty short and pretty confusing. But the second time I watched it, I fully understood, and all in all, I now think that the episode was far better then the first, The Bells Of St John. The songs were absolutely beautiful, especially the 'Wake Up' song they were singing. Some people saw the 'Wake Up' song being sang to the old god sun, but I always see it as them singing to the doctor as per the lyrics, telling him to "Live". Merrys voice (Some people got it confused with Mary or Murray) was astonishing for a girl her age, although I am probably the same age as her anyway. She was played by Emilia Jones, and I think I should give her credit seeing as it took me a while to find her actual name. Well done to her! She was brilliant, just brilliant! Also, just a couple of things to discuss regarding the episode, first of, I don't know about you, but I thought the story was very clever, and also the religion and culture of the local aliens was quite clever as well. The thing is, I really believed the episode, glued to the screen pretending I was actually there, that was how it was like for me. So lets talk about the aliens themselves. Of course, there was the gods 'alarm clock' also known as 'The Mummy' in the credits. There were also those really freaky aliens, The Vigil, that were looking for Merry. They honestly creeped me out. There was, of course, the god himself. Also, in the market there were Hooloovoos, Pan-babylonians, a Lugal-Irra-Kush, Lucanians, a Qom Votivig, a Terrabeserker and and old ultramancer. But one alien some of you may have missed out, there appears to be an alien made out of old costume. He is made up of what appears to be a hoix, a hath, a sycorax and an ood. He has an oods tentacles, a hoix head, a sycorax skull and a hath breathing vent. I expected it to be in the story as a mutant creature, but no, unfortunately not. I would like to see him be in every episode as a bounty hunter, that would be good. Theres a picture of the weird hybrid below and to the right. Now lets talk about some mistakes that were made, firstly, I'd like to point out that the leaf used in this one is not anywhere near the same as the one in The Bells Of St John, infact, it comes from a completely different tree! The one is The Bells Of St John being Maple, and the one in Akhaten, Birch. Nextly, I'm not sure whether its a mistake or not, but The Doctor, I noticed, was wearing Amy's reading glasses from The Angels Of Manhattan. Personally, I enjoyed the episode a lot, more than I actually thought I would. The songs were the best parts for me, they were absolutely brilliant! Lastly, we need to talk about something, we already know that Tom Baker, David Tennant and Billie Piper will be re-appearing for the 50th anniversary, but something else is, something awesome, as Clara would say. Yes, it as been confirmed that the Zygons are returning! Yup, the zygons are back, and believe it or not, we've actually got the footage to prove it. So you wanna see the new Zygons, well, here you are, Now thats cooler than Bow Ties and fezzes and stetsons. Zygons have always been one of my favourite oldies, and also one of the ones I want back. But it's such a long wait...
On the other hand, there's another oldie thats coming back, yup, The Ice Warriors! And as you already know, you'll be seeing them this Saturday for the next episode 'Cold War'. The plot appears to be Ice Warriors invading a deep submarine under icy waters and threatening to fire missiles. The Doctor appears to be trying to stop them from pressing a button which probably activates the missiles. We also know that Clara blacks out during the episode. I can't wait, The Ice Warriors have always been a fave oldie aswell as the Zygons, and I did want to see them back! So yeah, so far, Series 7 Part 2 is all good for me, can't wait for The Cyberman episode either, now that certainly will be cooler than stetsons. And one question to puzzle you before I go, will River Song be in series 7 again? |
